New Halo Diamond Engagement Ring Designs @ Steven Stone

This week we’ve been updating our engagement ring collection with stunning new halo diamond engagement rings in different styles and metal colours. The stunning ring designs are inspired by the art deco movement and features a border of small round brilliant cut diamonds that beautifully frame the shape of the centre stone. Some of the styles also have extra dazzle with diamonds set on the shoulders of the band. All the designs are available in white gold, yellow gold, rose gold and platinum. The four designs we’ve added include a halo with a pavé setting, a cut down setting, with diamonds just set around the diamond and not on the shoulders and with split shank diamond set shoulders.

The History of the Halo Diamond Engagement Ring

The style of the halo diamond setting stems from the 1920s art deco movement where fashion in jewellery was about being decorative and aesthetically pleasing. The halo diamond engagement ring style was the ring to have during this time but lost some of its popularity during the 1960s but has since made a comeback. The most popular styles at the moment are with diamonds set on the shoulders and with a double halo of diamonds set around the centre shape of the stone.
