Michael Winner has finally married his long-term love Geraldine Lynton-Edwards after they met 55 years ago. The ceremony took place yesterday in Chelsea Old Town Hall Registry Office. The ceremony was a small affair with just close friends of Michael and Geraldine, including old pal Sir Michael Caine and his wife Shakira, who served as their witnesses. The couple arrived to the registry together, hand in hand in a vintage Rolls Royce. Geraldine looked gracious and beautiful in a hand beaded, ivory laced dress with long sleeves and a beautiful ivory bouquet of flowers. Before they entered the hall for the ceremony they shared a romantic kiss for all to see. The 75-year-old film director first met Geraldine more than half a century ago, back when we was a young 21-year-old film maker and she was a 16-yer-old dancer. Geraldine auditioned for a role in one of Michael’s films and since then the couple have on/off relationship. The couple had their wedding reception and speeches the day before the ceremony in their Surrey mansion with a lunch menu of beef wellington and crème caramel desserts. The famous Chelsea Old Tow Hall Registry office has seen many celebs tie the knot over the years including Judie Garland and the Pink Panther star David Niven. Once the ceremony and photographs were over, the couple returned to their Kensington home to enjoy the rest of their wedding day together. The couple will also fly off to Portofino in Italy this week for their honeymoon.
