After discovering our Bespoke Jewellery Service online, we were contacted in October by a customer who wanted to create a unique, custom made engagement ring. We first worked with the customer to select a 0.80ct GIA certificated round brilliant cut diamond with a colour grade F and a clarity grade VS2, to sit as the centre piece in the ring. The next step was to design the ring setting. To do so, the customer wanted to come and visit us to take inspiration from rings on display in our showroom. This also meant she was able to work alongside our skilled jewellery designer to create the ring on the computer.
We Combined Two Rings to Create The Diamond Ring Setting
After much discussion, the customer decided to combine two styles of diamond ring settings. The customer wanted her engagement ring to stand out, so we decided 18ct rose gold would be perfect metal for this ring.
The Finished Vintage Inspired Halo Diamond Engagement Ring
With the two combined ring styles, the total carat weight of the small round brilliant cut diamonds set on the shoulders and the halo bordering the centre diamond is 0.38ct. As you can see the smaller diamond are individually pavé set in 18ct rose gold on the shoulders and around the round diamond. The customer was delighted with the results of the ring and sent us the following ‘thank you email’. “Just wanted to send a message to tell you how happy I am with my ring. I actually can’t stop looking at it and have received so many nice comments! Thanks for all your help through the process – I couldn’t more happy with the result. Have a great weekend!”
