A Stunning Three Stone Emerald Cut Diamond Design

In today’s post, we want to share a recent engagement ring we have created for a customer. The ring is set with a stunning emerald cut diamond and flanked with two small round brilliant cut diamonds which are all claw set in 18ct white gold. To add to the elegance and simplicity of this ring the shoulders taper inwards towards the centre diamonds, which also focuses the design of the ring on the diamonds. All three stones are held in double bezel basket settings, allowing you to see the bottom of the diamond. emerald cut diamond three stone engagement ring emerald cut diamond three stone engagement ring

All About Emerald Cut Diamonds

The cut of the emerald diamond resembles steps of stairs, so is often referred to as a ‘step cut’ diamond. The cut has a lot less facets then brilliant cut diamonds, which tend to make it less fiery. The shape of the diamond is rectangular with cut corners. Its longer facets and openness also make inclusions more pronounce, so it’s always better to opt for a high clarity grade. A poorly cut diamond with low clarity and colour grades will be a lot more noticeable to the naked eye in the emerald cut diamond. But on the up side, the diamond cut is not as traditional and popular as round brilliant cut or princess cut diamonds, resulting in much more for your money. emerald cut diamond three stone engagement ring emerald cut diamond three stone engagement ring
