If you look closely you'll notice the style of the band suits the shape of the diamond where the two ends, as the long, rain drop shape beautifully stands out. 
With this particular ring the pear shaped diamond is secured in place by a three claw platinum setting. The diamond weighs a total of 0.80 carats, has a VS2 clarity grade and a D colour grade – meaning that the stone is only very slightly included with any internal marks and the colour is completely colourless. As the band joins and meets the stone the shoulders taper, which helps to emphasize the size of the diamond.
