Take a glimpse into the world’s largest and most impressive private jewellery collections – Sotheby’s auction house has announced a new exhibition this November show casing the fabulous jewels of Alexandra Reza. The jewels will go on show first in New York, before moving on to London, Doha and Beijing. Alexandre Reza is a world-renowned Parisian jeweller and gem collector, whose collection features some of the most impressive jewels and jewellery designs the world has seen. Included in the collection are Columbian emeralds, Sir Lankan Sapphires and African diamonds, as well as precious pearls and opals. Reza has been described as one of the top jewellers in the world for designing for the rich, famous and royalty. Sotheby’s jewellery section chairman, David Bennet has even said “Alexandre Reza’s legacy forms an integral and important part of the history of post war jewellery.” Among the pieces on display will be this Ceylon Sapphire broach, featuring a stunning 134-carat oval shaped Sapphire, a pear shaped diamond, 14 round brilliant cut diamonds and an array of yellow diamonds. This striking natural pearl necklace featuring a 29 carat pear shaped diamond and a fancy intense yellow diamond will also be one of the fascinating items on display. This platinum diamond ring set ring with a 52 carat Burmese Sapphire. As well as this art deco style Colombian emerald earrings featuring over 14 carats of baguette and round brilliant cut diamonds.
