The couple got engaged in June after meeting in Los Angeles at the premier of Little Red Riding Hood in March this year. Nikki wore a stunning ivory, body-hugging style wedding dress that dazzled with a hundred diamond buttons all beautifully hand stitched on the dress. It been reported that the dress featured just over 100 carats of diamonds. The dress was a simple and elegant 1940s classic glamour design with a 72- inch train. The day after the wedding the Twilight actress tweeted that the wedding day “was the most magical day of my life” while her new husband and American Idol singer - Paul McDonald tweeted “Everything was perfect. I'm officially a MARRIED MAN! Woohoo!"
