Remodelling a Diamond into a Contemporary Four Row Diamond Ring

Last month a customer approached us about a re-modelling a one carat round brilliant cut diamond onto a ring. The customer wanted to create a diamond dress ring with rows of diamonds set on the band. Working with our jewellery designer the customer create a ring so that the four rows of diamonds started at one end where the main centre diamond is set and the fourth row finishes in a cross over ring style. diamond dress ring

As part of our in-house jewellery making service the setting and four row crossover band were printed into a three dimensional wax model, which was then used to make a mould using the lost wax process, where the wax evaporates in heat creating a moulded shape of the ring. Once the mould was created we cast the band and setting of the ring into 18 carat white gold.

When we finished the cast of the ring our goldsmith polished and rhodium coated it, to create the white gold colour. Our goldsmith also individually set each diamond and the large round centre diamond. The ring was made for the customer in 18 carat white gold and the diamonds on the four rows are channel set with small princess cut diamonds totalling 0.79 carats. The customers round diamond is beautifully bezel set in 18 carat white gold creating a contemporary style diamond ring.
