A 75ct Flawless Pear-Shaped Diamond At Sotheby’s
This year’s at Sotheby’s New York annual spring Magnificant Jewels Auction, the highlight will be this exceptional D, Flawless 75ct pear-shaped diamond.
Due to its size, rareness and flawless clarity the diamond has high expectations at auction – with an estimated winning bid of $9 million to $12 million. A stone of this calabri is extremy unusual especially as its a pear shaped diamond over 50 carats with pure colour – making it the most important white diamond ever to appear at the auction in America. The chairman at Sotheby’s international jewellery division of North & South America, Lisa Hubard described the stone as “truly exceptional”. The diamond was bought by the present owner in 2001 for $4.3 million. If you are interested in the stone, it’s on view for all to see at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from April 3rd
to April 7th
. The stone will then return back to New York and be exhibited at Sotheby’s from April 13th
when it will go under the hammer.
