Halo Diamond Stud Earrings: A Hint of Vintage and Dazzle

If you want a traditional pair of round brilliant cut or princess cut diamond stud earrings with a little hint of vintage, the halo style offers the best of both. We love diamond earrings that feature a stunning halo design. The halo is basically a circle of micropave diamonds that surround the centre diamond, visually enhancing the size and appearance of the stone – sometimes by as much as half a carat. The smaller diamonds border the whole shape of the main stone and are usually pavé set – adding to their desirable vintage look. With some designs, you can even add more than one border row of small diamonds surrounding the centre stone, to create even bigger earrings. Check out our two favourite halo earring styles below.

The best way to set the centre stone is in claws or prongs, to match the vintage look of the small, surrounding pavé set diamonds. The number of claws depends on the shape of the diamond, but is usually 4 claws. So if you want to wear a pair of classical diamond halo studs, with our easy to use 'create your own tool ' you can pick the diamonds, metal and style.
