A 120-Year-Old-Man in India Marries a 60 Year Old Woman
Hazi Abdu Noor aged 120, became the oldest groom in the world when he marrying a 60 year old woman on Sunday. After being widowed six years ago, Hazi Abdu told his family to find him a new wife to be there for him and look after him. He successfully married 60-year-old Samoi Bibi, in a ceremony in Satghari, a remote village in the north-eastern state of Assam. 500 guests attended the ceremony to pay their respect and witness the oldest marriage in the world. Hazi, once a contractor during the British regime in southern Assam has large family with 122 members including sons, daughters and grand children, who all attended the wedding. His son Hazi Azir Uddin was set the mission to find his father a bride. His new wife is Samoi Bibi was a resident of North Foolbari village in adjoining northern Tripura and was married once with no children. Hazi Abdu sons admitted - “It was not an easy job to find a bride for a 100-year-old. However, by the grace of god, we have found a new mother, though she's half his age. She was married once early in life. Her husband died and she has no children."
