A 75ct Flawless Pear-Shaped Diamond At Sotheby’s

This year’s at Sotheby’s New York annual spring Magnificant Jewels Auction, the highlight will be this exceptional D, Flawless 75ct pear-shaped diamond. Due to its size, rareness and flawless clarity the diamond has high expectations at auction - with an estimated winning bid of $9 million to $12 million. A stone of this calabri is extremy unusual especially as its a pear shaped diamond over 50 carats with pure colour - making it the most important white diamond ever to appear at the auction in America. The chairman at Sotheby’s international jewellery division of North & South America, Lisa Hubard described the stone as “truly exceptional”. The diamond was bought by the present owner in 2001 for $4.3 million. If you are interested in the stone, it’s on view for all to see at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from April 3rd to April 7th. The stone will then return back to New York and be exhibited at Sotheby’s from April 13th April 17th when it will go under the hammer.
