Kirsty Lane, 29 stole over £170,000 from her boss to pay for the wedding of her dreams and was rumbled after inviting her boss to the no expense speared bash. Kirsty’s boss Peter Sutton was among the 100 guests invited to the lavish wedding held in a medieval banqueting hall. The wedding included a harpist, fireworks, a free bar, a magician and more flamboyant expenses. Kirsty Lane, a part-time accounts Clerk earned £15,000 a year and her husband earns even less. So when Kirsty’s boss Peter Sutton was invited to the extravagant day he questioned how the couple could possible afford such a wedding. The couple had absolutely everything they wanted at the wedding, telling the guests that the brides mother had come into some money and paid for the over the top day. When Kirsty's boss - Peter Sutton grew suspicious about the cost of his employees wedding, he took a closer look at the books and discovered that the accounts clerk had managed to steal over £1700,00 over four year.
