Diamond Colour If you want the top colour in a white diamond the grading starts from completely colourless. If a white diamond has a tint of yellow it will receive a lower quality grading due to chemical impurities contained inside the diamond. A whiter diamond will reflect more light and have a more brilliant sparkle and the more colour different variations it will reflect back. 
Diamond Clarity Diamond clarity in a diamond refers to the measurement of flaws or blemishes a diamond contains, whether it is an inclusion, air bubbles, non diamond minerals found in the diamond or a crack in the diamond. Diamond Clarity grading starts with F – which iscompletely flawless both internally and externally. The chart below shows the how clarity is graded i a diamond with the marks showing the flaws. Diamond Carat Weight A carat is the weight measurement of a diamond. One carat is equivalent to 200 milligrams or 0.2 grams and known in the industry as 100 points. A diamond carat weight is the most obvious factor to determine the value of a diamond.
