Dazzling Diamond Pendants We Love

With summer in full swing, its the perfect time to show off your dazzling diamond pendant. In four words, diamond pendants are sophisticates, stylish, understated and enchanting. Check out some of our favourote styles below - depending on your own preferences, they can be made in white gold, yellow gold, rose gold or platinum. Diamonds are a symbol of timeless beauty, and will always remain the stone of choice for special diamond pendants.. The most classic style is a simple single stone diamond, elegantly dangling off a small chain. If you want more for your money, but can’t afford a large one carat stone, framing a smaller stone with diamonds will make the pendant appear bigger. Like every diamond jewellery purchase, it isn’t just about the style; it’s also about the quality and grading of the stone. As long as you have learnt and researched about the four Cs of a diamond – cut, colour, clarity and carat weight, you’ll have no problem. Diamond certification is also a key factor when buying a diamond. Make sure the diamond has been graded and certificated by a non biased independent diamond laboratory, like GIA, and not by a jeweller. In fact we always recommend only buying a GIA certificated Diamond

The Four C’s in Brief

The cut of a diamond – this determines the light reflections of the diamond and how much it sparkles, which is all dependant of how well the stone was cut from the rough. The colour grade of the diamond – in white diamond like the pendants above, the colour refers to the clearness of the stone. Diamond colour grades start at D – colourless, and go down to z – where the diamond will have a yellow tint. The clarity of the stone – like the name suggests, clarity is about how clear the stone is from any marks or blemishes both internally and externally. Diamond graded F are flawless and rare. Diamond carat weight – this does not refer to the size of the diamond, it refers to the weight. A one carat diamond is equal to 200 milligrams and further divided into 10 points, so you can have a 0.50ct diamond update `wp_posts` set `post_content` = half a carat).
