Elizabeth Taylor is the iconic queen of extravagant and dazzling diamond jewels and through her glamour’s Hollywood Life style, she accumulated one of the most sort after jewellery collections in the world. Her collection included 33.19- carat Asscher cut diamond ring, given to her by her third husband – Richard Burton. One of the most stunning pieces of jewellery the Hollywood icon owned is the famous Taylor-Burton Diamond a remarkable 69.42 carat, pear shaped, flawless, D colour diamond, which was set into a pendant necklace. Her collection contains a 16th-century La Peregrina perfect pear-shaped pearl, known as one of the largest and most symmetrically in the world. Each Jewel in the collection has its own personal story. In 2002 The Hollywood star wrote a memoir about her life and love of jewels named “My Love Affair with Jewellery” Richard Burton brought Elizabeth many gifts of jewellery throughout their romance, including the famous historical 17th century Taj Mahal heart shaped diamond pendant, which is linked to one of the greatest love story. The collection combines a marvellous collection of diamond, rubies, sapphires and emeralds. Christies auction house will be show casing Elizabeth Taylor’s complete collection of precious diamond and other gem stone jewellery in December this year, which is valued at a whopping £30m.
