Engagement Ring Trends: Halo Diamond Ring Setting

A halo engagement ring style combines a vintage classic look with the dazzle of a striking diamond ring. The style is often called a diamond cluster ring, as the ring is set with a multiple of diamonds. The centre stone of the diamond is surrounded by a border of smaller diamonds, which are usually round brilliant cut diamonds. If you want a statement ring, but don’t have the budget halo rings are perfect, as the surrounding diamond emphasize the size of the centre stone. The most popular centre diamonds to be set in a halo design are round brilliant cuts, cushion cuts, pear shaped diamonds and princess cut diamonds. Adding diamonds on the shoulders also helps to enhance the overall look of the ring by adding more sparkle.

Pear-Shaped Halo Diamond Engagement Ring Design

A few weeks ago we created this stunning halo engagement ring for a customer who wanted their own pear shaped diamond re-modelled in the centre. The surrounding diamonds in the shape of rain drop, are each pavé set in small beads of platinum. To add some uniqueness to the ring the shoulders have been cut down set with even more small round brilliant cut diamonds. The total carat weight of diamonds we added to the ring totals 0.38cts and the whole ring was made in platinum. pear shaped diamond halo engagement ring 26480 Although halo diamond rings have always been around, there has recently been a surge in the demand for this stylish ring design, especially as there are so many brilliant stones which can be combined together to achieve this striking look.
