Usually for royal celebrations collectors would by a commemorative mug or tea towel, but if you can afford £125,000 these gold and diamond jubilee coins are perfect. The company has created 60 of the gold coins – one for every year the Queen has been on the throne since 1952.To celebrate the milestone the coins are encrusted with small round brilliant cut diamonds. The gold coin weigh a kilo and are graved with the Queens head wearing a diamond encrusted tiara, necklace and brooch and the words ‘Elizabeth Regina, Diamond Jubilee 1952-2012’. Despite the hefty price tag the company have had ‘brisk and determined’ interest’ in the coins from monarchist collectors and investors. If you like the look of these coins but can’t afford the £125,000 the company will also be selling 60 silver coins with the same design for a lesser price of £25,000. As a result of the high interest the company will be scheduling private viewings in Monaco, Moscow, Geneva, the Middle East, India and Hong Kong. 
The company was founded by Queen Elizabeth I in 1600 and in the 19th century the company set jewels and diamonds in the tiara of Queen Victoria. The jewels will be presented to the buyers in a bespoke presentation case with royal purple velvet inside with a diamond magnifying loop, hidden under the coin so the owners can get a close look at the brilliant cut diamonds.
