As you can see the marquise diamond is held in-between the shank of the ring with two V-shaped prongs on the pointed edges of the diamond shape. The band of the engagement ring is made with 18 carat white gold, and has a unique knife edged on the outside with a court shaped on the inside to comfortably fit around the finger. 
This particular diamond crossover engagement ring is set with a 0.51 carat marquise diamond, with a colour grade D and a clarity grade VVS2. With this style of engagement ring you can choose most diamond shapes, according to your own tastes.
