Prince William and Princess Kate First Wedding Anniversary
This Sunday the 29th the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, better known as Prince William and Kate Middleton will be celebrating their first wedding anniversary after they tied the knot in Westminster Abbey last year. The royal couple plan to spend their anniversary relaxing in private after a busy first married year in the spotlight together.
Here are some of the highlights of the Duke and Duchess's First Year of Marriage
During the year the couple have attended numerous charity events and public appearances around the world, both coming to terms with their life as a working royal couple. First royal duty in May 2011 – the couple greeted Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama Buckingham Palace, where Kate’s fashion power was in full effect. In June they visited Canada, beginning their North American tour of the commonwealth where they took part in the culture by boat racing, wore cowboy hats and planted trees. They ended the tour in Los Angeles, where the met Hollywood’s finest. Kate also aligned with numerous charities including the Prince's Trust and East Anglia's Children's Hospices. Since she has been a royal she has set fashion trends, with items she wears selling out and has become a favourite of the British monarchy with adoring fans all over the world.
