Steven Stone Creates Bespoke Wedding Ring to fit with Customers Engagement Ring
A few months ago we created this 18 carat white gold crossover style engagement ring featuring three striking pear-shaped diamonds claw set in a triangular shape.
Pear-Shaped Engagement Ring
As the design and shape of the engagement ring was bespoke the customer wanted to create a bespoke wedding ring to perfectly interlock with her engagement ring. The customer wanted a wedding ring that was bulky and would fit the shape of the three diamonds on her engagement ring like a jigsaw. Our goldsmith hand carved wax into a ring and carved two pear shapes at the front of the band so the engagement ring would fit into the shape of the wedding ring.
Bespoke Wedding Ring
To add more dazzle to the shaped wedding ring our designer suggested adding some diamond on the shoulders of the band either side of where the pear-shaped diamonds on the engagement ring interlock. As you can see in the image the wedding ring is beautifully rub over set with 12 small brilliant cut diamonds totalling 0.12 carats. When the customer was happy with the design of her bespoke wedding ring, we cast the carved wax shape into 18 carat white gold to match the metal of the engagement ring. To set the diamonds our goldsmith drilled 12 tiny holes in the surface and rubbed the bezel over the diamonds to secure them in place.
