Stunning & Suave - Princess Cut Halo Diamond Engagement Ring

One of our favourite diamonds is the stunning princess cut diamond, its brilliance and square shape looks great set in an engagement ring. A few months ago we modelled this striking princess cut into a halo diamond setting for a customer who wanted a glamorous yet sophisitcated looking ring. princess cut halo The centre square stone is beautifully framed with a row of smaller, channel set princess cut diamond and the shoulders feature pavé set smaller round brilliant cut diamonds – combining a traditional and modern engagement ring setting. princess cut halo princess cut halo From this angle you will notice that the shank of the platinum ring, where the band meets the stone splits in two, giving the diamond some height above the stone. This is a desirable look for engagement rings, as it allows a wedding ring to fit perfectly underneath with no gaps in between. princess cut halo The halo diamond engagement ring style was first bought to the scene during the art deco era of the 1920s. The era was all about detailed, decretive designs. It’s only recent that the style is back in fashion. What’s great about the style is its ability to make the centre stone appear larger than it is. For instance a half carat diamond can almost look close to the size of a 1ct diamond. We believe that the style is ideal for brides to be with impeccable taste and an eye for fashion
