We know a proposal is exciting but back in 2011 American Pie actress, Tara Reid, shocked fans around the world, when she got engaged and married in the same day. 

Whilst there are tons of celebrity surprises thrown at us everyday, 10 years later, we can't help but wonder, what on earth was she thinking to tie the knot so soon? 

Taking a trip back in time, we uncover everything we know about the fastest celebrity wedding of all time. 

How did it happen? 

Whilst on holiday in Greece, Tara Reid was keeping her Twitter followers up-to-date on her romance with boyfriend, Zack Kehayov, before announcing her engagement. The pair met in 2010, and had been together for around a year before he popped the question .

She posted to Twitter: "Greece - there is no substitute!" before declaring: "I just got engaged."

Just two hours later the star then surprised her fans, by very randomly tweeting: "Greece married."

After enjoying married life for seven hours, she then posted this update: "Love in Greece...I am now a wife:)"

And in the early hours of Sunday morning she tweeted: "Just got married in greece I love being a wife!"

Whilst everyone was a little shocked at the quick turn around time, Tara's agent confirmed the pair did indeed get wed within just a few hours of getting engaged. Jack Ketsoyan, confirmed to People that she did tied the knot.

Unfortunately, the engagement lasted just as long as the relationship, as the pair split soon after the wedding rumours emerged. 

The star has had a home run of engagement over the years, too. She began dating Carson Daly in March 2000 and the two later became engaged that October. They broke off their engagement in June 2001.

In 2010, she became engaged to internet entrepreneur Michael Axtmann after dating for several months. The two later broke off their engagement.

In 2019, she was dating Nathan Montpetit-Howar, confirming the relationship on Instagram. The actress, 43, shared photos of herself and boyfriend Nathan Montpetit-Howar on Instagram on Wednesday while they were on vacation in Mexico.
