Three Stone Princess Cut Diamond Engagement Ring

Last week we finished making this stunning princess cut diamond engagement ring for a customer. As you can see the ring is set with three dazzling diamonds that weigh 1.40cts in total. The diamonds are set in V-shaped prongs, which beautifully secure them in place and give it that traditional look. We crafted the ring in 18ct white gold at our jewellery production studio in Cheshire.

Why Opt For Princess Cut Diamonds?

The princess cut diamond is a popular diamond cut and shape for use in engagement rings. The cut of the diamond is simular to a round brilliant cut diamond giving it more sparkle than a traditional square shaped diamond like an emerald cut or Asscher cut. Some call the stone a square version of the round brilliant cut diamond. The diamond was first invented in around 30 years ago by Basil Watermeyer from Johannesburg. The diamond has approximately 76 facets which produces more brilliance and sparkle. With its extra facets any inclusions are less visible and any slight yellowish colour in lower graded diamonds is less noticeable.
