Turning Normal Earrings into Beautiful Diamond Earrings
Our jewellery production team at Steven Stone have just finished a diamond earringremake for a customer to match a pair of non-diamond dress earrings. As you can see in the image above, before the original earrings were re-made they were just costume earrings not made from a precious metal and not set with real diamonds. The woman, who we commissioned the diamond earrings for, wanted them to be remade in the exact same style and design but using 18 carat white gold and set with real round brilliant diamonds as they were earrings she wore every day. The process of this white gold diamond earring remake started with our jewellery designer arranging the design of the earrings on the computer in order to create an exact match to the original fake diamond earrings. The computer render of the round cut diamonds was then printed into a wax three dimensional version of the earrings and casted into 18 carat white gold. Once the casting of the earring was complete, our skilled gold smith got to work on setting the round brilliant diamonds and giving the final polish to the finished diamond earrings. The final re-make of the original costume earrings features nine small 0.03 carat diamonds individually set in a circle shape in the centre of the earrings surrounded by eleven 0.03 carat diamonds to resemble a flower shape. The earrings also feature three smaller diamonds set on the loop of the earring – as seen in the image above.
