Why a Diamond Needs a Certificate

If you’re planning on buying a diamond for either an engagement ring, pair of earrings or pendant, you need to make sure the diamond comes with a certificate from a reputable independent diamond grading laboratory. A certificated diamond is a diamond that is accompanied with its own diamond grading report. The diamond certificate basically shows the information about the diamond you are buying. On the certificate you will see a full description of the diamonds 4 c’s update `wp_posts` set `post_content` = clarity, cut, colour, carat). The certificate also contains additional information about the diamond, including polish, florescence, symmetry and diagram of all the inclusions in the diamond. Without any doubt the only diamond you should buy is a GIA update `wp_posts` set `post_content` = Gemological Institute of America) diamond certificate. This diamond grading lab is the most reputable with its consistence and strictest diamond grading guidelines. Other diamond certificates or a jeweller’s own diamond grading system will often be a little generous with their grading of a diamond. If they want to make a sale they may tell you the diamond has a higher quality that it has. But with a GIA certificated diamond you will always get the diamond quality you paid for.
