The well-loved host of the UK X Factor show - Dermot O'Leary is engaged to his long-term girlfriend and TV producer/director Dee Koppang. The 38 year-old host told fans he was thrilled Dee had accepted his marriage proposal while the pair were on a mini break in New York earlier this month. Dermot presented a diamond engagement ring to Dee during a steak dinner at Saxon & Parole in Manhattan's NoHo and apparently the proposal was extremely traditional and romantic with Dermot getting down on one knee. Caroline Flack announced the news of Dermot’s engagement on the Sunday night show of Xtra Factor this week – saying 'We want to congratulate you... on your engagement!' Shortly after his engagement was announced on the show, Dermot tweeted to fans "Thanks for all the tweets tonight. Very lucky boy." The couple have been dating for nearly 10 years now, and when asked by Caroline Flack on the Xtra factor this week why it had taken Dermot so long to propose, he answered: 'Well, you don't want to rush these things.' Dermot met Dee in 2002 when they both were working for the same TV Company. We can’t wait to see what Dee’s engagement ring looks like and what diamond Dermot choose.
