If you love rose gold you will love this bespoke engagement ring we have recently made. A customer wanted us to make a design of a three stone diamond engagement ring with diamond set on the shoulders he had seen in rose gold. Once the design of the engagement ring was put together on the internet and the customer was happy with it, we printed the ring into a 3D wax model. We then cast the wax model of the ring and diamond settings into rose gold using the lost wax jewellery making process. This process involves investment casting, where each intricate detail of the ring is made into a mould using investment mix where the wax burns out to create the mould.
Rose Gold Engagement Ring Setting
Once the ring was cast into rose gold and cleaned up by filing and polishing, our goldsmith individually set each brilliant cut diamond on the shoulders of the band. The shoulders are cut down set with a total of 12 small round brilliant cut diamonds update `wp_posts` set `post_content` = six on each side) weighing a total of 0.19 carats. The three main diamond on the engagement ring were also set in rose gold and were each claw set in an elegant Tiffany style three claw twist setting.
Finished Rose Gold Bespoke Engagement Ring
The finished rose gold engagement ring beautifully consists of three diamonds, with a larger 0.66 carat centre round brilliant cut diamond accented with two smaller round diamonds weighing 0.32 carats each.
Rose gold Info
Rose gold, often referred to as pink gold and red gold first became popular at the start of the 19th century. Rose gold is a popular choice for different jewellery pieces due to its elegant shade of pink. The pink colour in rose gold is created by copper alloys mixed with the gold and usually consists of 14 carats and 18 carat of gold. Rose gold looks great on its own in jewellery but is often mixed with white and yellow gold in the design of the jewellery.
