A 2013 Sapphire Engagement Ring Set with Pear & Round Shaped Diamonds
Happy New Year Eve from Steven Stone. To Celebrate we want to share a new commissioned Sapphire and Diamond Engagement ring we have recently created. For the past couple of years Sapphires have been a popular choice for engagement rings, and we predict they will continue in this New Year to be popular. Here’s an Engagement Ring set with a round shaped Sapphire along with pear and round shaped diamonds. We created the ring for a customer who found a picture of a Sapphire and Diamond ring on our bespoke gallery and wanted to create something similar using his own design. The large 1.07ct round shape Sapphire is set in a traditional 4-claw platinum setting. The pear-shaped diamonds are also set in platinum claws and the smaller round brilliant cut diamonds are pavé set on the split shoulders of the ring. In total the ring is set with six pear-shaped diamonds three on either side and the diamonds total 0.51cts. To achieve the detailed setting on the head of the ring where the Sapphire and diamonds sit we printed the design of the ring from the computer into a 3D wax version, which we then cast into platinum, using our top of the range, in-house machinery. Our goldsmith then finished the ring by polishing, setting the stones and giving the ring another polish.
