It’s all about the Pavé Diamond Setting

You may have already heard of the pavé diamond setting as it’s a very popular style for different fine diamond jewellery designs. If you’re a fan of dazzle and frosting when it comes to diamonds this setting style is perfect.

What is a Pavé Diamond Setting?

If you can imagine the whole surface of metal covered in what appears to be one big diamond that is what a pavé setting is. The setting involves tiny diamonds placed in small holes that have been drilled out of the metal by a goldsmith. For the setting to work each diamond has to be the same size so they can be placed in rows accordingly so they don’t touch each other. For this particular setting only round brilliant cut diamonds can be used, as the shape is perfect and provides the most sparkle.
