Finding The Correct Finger Size

The most reliable way to find the correct finger size is consulting one of our experts in store. The other method is to size the finger by using a measuring tool. Simply put the finger inside the tool’s snare and fasten. When using the tool, please bear in mind that the knuckle is larger than the bottom of the finger and setting the tool too tightly could lead to taking the incorrect measures. The right size would feel snug, but would also easily fit over the knuckle. Ideally, use the finger size measuring tool several times during the day, as body temperature changes and affects the blood flow, altering the finger size.

What If I Am Buying The Ring As A Surprise

We understand that it’s sometimes impossible to have the ring size measured, since most buyers purchase engagement rings as a surprise. Here are the best options to choose a ring without knowing the finger size.

Free Resizing

To qualify for free resizing when purchasing an engagement ring from our website, select the ring size ‘Not Sure’ from the dropdown menu. We will make your engagement ring in a stock size, which is the most common women’s ring size. Choosing the ‘Not Sure’ option guarantees we would happily resize the engagement ring, free of charge, within one year of purchase. Please be aware that not all rings can be resized, if the ‘Not Sure’ options is not available please contact us and we will be happy to help.

Using Another Ring

This method is not always reliable and precise, especially if the ring used for size guidance fits poorly or is not worn on the left-hand ring finger. If you feel confident in using another ring, measure its inner diameter and match the measurements to the chart below. Alternatively, bring the ring to one of our specialists in store. If you are unable to borrow the ring, place it on a piece of paper and trace the inner and outer diameter and bring the outline to our experts.

Asking Friends Or Family

Unless if you plan to keep the proposal a secret, ask friends or family if they know your partner’s ring size. Once aware of your intentions, most people would be keen to help you find the perfect ring. They might wile your other half into casually trying out different rings and then pass the sizing information to you. Resizing starts from £95 and there is a £15 postage fee to send the ring back.

Important Note

Not all rings can be sized. Due to their design features, certain rings are difficult to size or cannot be sized at all. Such are the full eternity rings and some other engagement ring styles.
